I am currently interning at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, and I love it. Being able to interact with the patients is an inspiring experience for me. They keep me coming back for more and seeing their smiles motivate me to continue serving them. However, being of service to their families, can be a whole different situation. Having a close relative in the hospital can cause lots of stress, sadness, and maybe even anger. I must have lots of patience for those with such feelings and may express it towards me in negative ways, but all of this shows me the easy and perhaps difficult parts of working in a hospital. Another challenge I've faced interning, is memorizing where everything is located, especially because I'm not particularly good at memorizing things. Overall, my experiences I've had at my internship have been very beneficial for me. It's taught me patience, kindness, selflessness, integrity, cautiousness and more. I'm very happy and thankful to intern at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.
